# Notifications: In-App Alerts and Transactional Emails

> How PolyFundr keeps you informed: in-app alerts in your dashboard and transactional emails sent automatically to your account email address.

PolyFundr sends notifications through two channels: in-app alerts that appear in your dashboard, and transactional emails sent to the address associated with your account. Both channels cover the same key events so you stay informed whether you are actively using the platform or not.

## In-app notifications

In-app notifications appear directly in your dashboard when you are signed in. They are triggered by activity on your account, such as a challenge changing state or a market resolving, and are displayed in the notifications panel.

Events that generate in-app notifications include:

* Challenge passed
* Challenge failed
* Payout sent, failed, or rejected
* Market resolved
* Platform announcements from the PolyFundr team

## Email notifications

Transactional emails are sent to the email address on your PolyFundr account. These emails are informational and are triggered automatically when key events occur.

| Event               | Email sent                  |
| ------------------- | --------------------------- |
| First sign-in       | Welcome email               |
| Challenge purchased | Purchase confirmation       |
| Challenge passed    | Passed confirmation         |
| Challenge failed    | Failed notification         |
| Account funded | Funded account confirmation |
| Payout requested    | Request confirmation        |
| Payout processed | Payout sent confirmation |
| Market resolved     | Resolution notification     |

Emails are sent from `PolyFundr <hq@polyfundr.com>`. If you need to reply or have a question, you can reach the support team at `support@polyfundr.com`.

<Note>
  Email notifications are sent to the address you used to sign in. If you signed in with Google, emails go to your Google address. If you signed in with a wallet (and have no email on file), transactional emails may not be delivered.
