# Your Wallet: Balances, USDC, and Payouts on Polygon

> Understand your embedded wallet, how to connect an external wallet, and how USDC on Polygon is used for challenge fees and payouts.

Every PolyFundr account includes a wallet. When you sign in for the first time, Privy automatically creates an **embedded wallet** for you. You do not need to install a browser extension or manage a seed phrase. You can also connect your own external wallet if you prefer to use one you already have.

Challenge fees are paid in **USDC on Polygon**, and payouts are sent in USDC on Polygon to the destination address you provide.

## Your embedded wallet

Privy creates an embedded wallet the moment your account is set up. This wallet is linked to your PolyFundr account and is available immediately after sign-in.

  The embedded wallet is used for the challenge payment flow. When you start a challenge, Privy opens a funding sheet where you can pay by card or by sending USDC from any wallet.

## Connecting an external wallet

If you prefer to use an external wallet (such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet), you can connect it when prompted during the sign-in or checkout flow. Privy supports browser extension wallets and WalletConnect-compatible wallets.

## Challenge fees and USDC on Polygon

All challenge fees are denominated in **USDC on Polygon**. When you purchase a challenge, the payment is directed to PolyFundr's treasury address. Make sure you are sending USDC on the Polygon network, not on Ethereum mainnet or another chain.

The one-time challenge fees are:

| Account size | Fee   |
| ------------ | ----- |
| \$10,000     | \$125 |
| \$25,000     | \$300 |
| \$50,000     | \$500 |

\$100,000 and \$200,000 accounts are not on direct sale right now. They are awarded through competitions and giveaways.

  Do not send funds on the wrong network. Transfers sent on Ethereum mainnet or other chains cannot be automatically recovered. Always confirm you are using **Polygon** before sending.

## Receiving payouts

When you request a payout from a funded account, you must provide a **destination wallet address** that can receive USDC on Polygon. This address is required on every payout request. PolyFundr does not save a default destination. Payout amounts follow the cap ladder and the per-window rules described on [Funded payouts](/funded/payouts).

  Double-check your destination address before submitting a payout request. Payouts are sent directly to the address you provide, and transactions on Polygon cannot be reversed.
